When we were commissioned to design and install the artificial flowers for Harrogate Fashion Week, we knew this was an opportunity to create something extraordinary.
The brief was clear: bold, punchy and unapologetically fashionable.
Our floral designs needed to complement the show's vibrant branding, bring energy to the exhibition halls and create memorable spaces for buyers, exhibitors and visitors.
Working across four exhibition halls, we developed a collection of bespoke artificial floral installations that combined expressive colour, naturalistic textures and dramatic scale.
Making an Entrance: Floral Styling for the HFW Letters
First impressions matter, particularly in the world of fashion.
We wanted visitors to experience the creativity of Harrogate Fashion Week before they even stepped inside.
The show's oversized HFW letters, presented in vibrant pink, soft lilac and vivid orange, provided the perfect starting point for our floral designs.
We created bespoke meadow-inspired arrangements around the base of the letters, combining striking pink roses, delicate lavender blooms, sculptural foliage and playful flowering stems.
The flowers appeared to grow naturally around the installation, softening the bold architectural shapes while complementing the show's colourful identity.
The result was a striking entrance feature that welcomed visitors, established the mood of the event and created a memorable photographic opportunity.
Four Halls, One Floral Vision
With four exhibition halls to consider, our approach was about more than creating individual arrangements. We wanted to establish a cohesive floral identity that flowed throughout the show.
Colour was central to the concept.
Vibrant fuchsia, hot pink, orange and yellow flowers were layered with softer blush, lilac and cream tones, creating a palette that felt fresh, confident and fashion-forward.
Our six-foot-tall floral arrangements became dramatic focal points throughout the venue.
Displayed in elegant stone-effect urns, these oversized installations featured an abundant mix of realistic artificial flowers, sculptural branches and cascading greenery.
Their height and expressive silhouettes brought a sense of theatre to the exhibition halls, creating visual impact while complementing the scale of the surroundings.
Each arrangement was designed to feel naturally abundant rather than overly structured, combining the romance of a country garden with the confidence of contemporary fashion.
An Aerial Flower Bar Above the Fashion Café
One of our favourite installations was the spectacular suspended floral display above the Fashion Café.
Designed to bring a sense of natural beauty into the industrial exhibition environment, the aerial flower bar featured a tapestry of colourful blooms and trailing foliage.
Cascades of greenery, delicate pink flowers, vibrant orange accents and richly textured botanicals created the impression of a floating garden above the café.
Suspended high above the seating area, the installation transformed the space into a welcoming destination where buyers and exhibitors could take a moment away from the busy show floor.
It was a beautiful example of how artificial flowers can be used architecturally, adding another dimension to an event without occupying valuable floor space.
Where Fashion Becomes Art: Our Floral Mannequin Installation
Perhaps the most talked-about and photographed installation of the show was our imaginative display of mannequins surrounded by meadow flowers and sculptural foliage ball heads.
For this installation, we wanted to explore the relationship between fashion and nature, creating something unexpected, playful and visually arresting.
The mannequins became part of an expressive botanical landscape, surrounded by wild, meadow-inspired artificial flowers and foliage.
Their dramatic foliage ball heads added an avant-garde element, transforming familiar fashion display forms into sculptural floral artworks.
The result was a striking meeting of fashion, floristry and installation art.
Designed to stop visitors in their tracks, the display became a natural photo opportunity and a memorable talking point throughout the event.
For us, this installation captured everything we love about creative event floristry: the freedom to experiment, challenge expectations and create something genuinely different.
